About Me
Carlyle "Peter" Mounteer is an award winning landscape, events, and commercial photographer with more than a decade of professional experience behind the lens. Hailing from picturesque Pacific Grove, CA on the Monterey Peninsula, Peter sharpened his skills for photographing people with lengthy stints in local newspapers and with the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce. He has photographed breaking news, high school and college sports, and some of the area's most iconic events including the Concours D'Elegance at Pebble Beach, Big Sur International Marathon, Pacific Grove Triathlon, Pacific Grove Butterfly Parade and Holiday Parade of Lights, and the Pacific Grove Good Old Days. He also honed his eye for majestic landscape photography in the backwoods of Big Sur and the rugged shores of Monterey. Peter is trained professionally in journalism, having served as the News Editor for his college paper and logged seven years for his local weekly, and possesses keen journalistic instincts and a firm grasp of the requirements of engaging storytelling. Now located at the northern edge of the Los Angeles metro-area, Peter considers himself a lifelong advocate for and native of the Central Coast.
