About Galerie Carlyle
Carlyle "Peter" Mounteer is an award winning landscape, lifestyle, and commercial photographer with more than a decade of professional experience behind the lens. Hailing from picturesque Pacific Grove, CA on the Monterey Peninsula, Peter honed his eye for majestic landscape photography in the backwoods of Big Sur and the rugged shores of Asilomar. He sharpened his skills for photographing people with lengthy stints in local newspapers and with the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce, photographing breaking news, sports, and some of the area's most iconic events.
Educated at the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in history and sociology and serving as the editor of the largest section of the campus newspaper, he also possesses keen journalistic instincts and a firm grasp on the requirements of engaging storytelling. Now located at the northern edge of the Los Angeles metro-area, Peter considers himself a lifelong advocate for and native of the Central Coast.
